Magda Cecilia Cueto Amaya was born in Aguachica in the Cesar Department of Colombia. She holds a nursing degree and is a specialist in and internal auditor of integrated quality management systems.
She began her professional career in 2005, executing health promotion and disease prevention programmes in first and second-level healthcare institutions.
She also has 14 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry where working in different multinationals helped her gain knowledge in different therapeutic areas such as women’s health, Heparins, high-cost diseases (orphan diseases, onco-hematology, rheumatoid arthritis, nephrology), and in primary care with respiratory diseases and diabetes.
She says, “Being part of the Angels Initiative allows me to help generate quality care opportunities for many stroke patients and their families so that they can remain united and continue with their lives.”
